Voxalike
Welcome to Voxalike, the wacky voice-over game where you can hijack iconic scenes and talk with your voice. Want to know how you sound as SpongeBob, Patrick, or Smiling Friends characters? Select a clip, grab your mic, and record yourself trying to mimic the voices!
Just like other voice imitation challenges, Voxalike allows players to select clips from popular TV shows, cartoons, and internet clips and record their own version of the dialog. If you're doing a background voice, you may get the main characters or vise versa, depending on the scene. The aim is to repeat each line, pronouncing it correctly and at the right time with the right voice. After you record, you can play back your entire dubbed scene and compare your voice to the original.
Key Gameplay Features

How to Play Voxalike
Voxalike is simple enough to begin with. Simply browse the clips and choose a scene to replicate. Some classic scenes include the SpongeBob wallet swap, the Smiling Friends random inspection, the Bubble Baby Hunt, and the Shane and Rick standoff. They each provide a different cast of characters and lines to riff off of.
If you're recording over a clip, pay close attention to the original lines before you record. Then repeat the speaker's lines to mimic his/her pronunciation, tone, and rhythm. Certain lines are quite simple to mimic, while others are more challenging. For example, the famous "It's not my wallet" switch, with a few characters swapped, and the Smiilng Friends with long lines, are a more animated delivery.
If your first take sounds a bit strange, don't get discouraged. As long as you can refer back to the scene and listen to your final take to see which lines need a bit of work, you should be good. This is especially important for timing, because even a well-phrased line can sound somewhat "off" given the wrong timing.
