Sprunki Corruptbox

Sprunki Corruptbox takes the well-known Sprunki characters and transforms them into distorted, glitchy, horrifying versions of themselves. Players still combine characters to create music, but each sound character in Corruptbox has a distinct appearance, with weird little nuances. Everything from warped faces to movements that make it seem like they’re broken.

Creating music with Corrupted characters

Gameplay revolves around selecting individual characters and adding them to the musical lineup. Each character contributes a specific part to the track, so combining them alters the overall soundscape.

The characters in this version look vastly different from the standard Sprunki cast. Orin has a face that can split apart, Ox appears wielding a gun, Clucker constantly twists its neck in an unnatural manner, and Funbot looks completely broken. Mr. Sun, Mr. Tree, Pinky, Simon, and others have also been redesigned in the signature Corruptbox style.

Previewing characters before mixing

An interesting feature is the ability to view each character individually before adding them to the mix. This is particularly notable in Corruptbox because the visuals for each character are rich in unique detail, going beyond simple color swaps or added glitch effects.

Mixing sounds to create the right mix

The noises of many characters on the screen merge to create a whole piece. Some of the combinations result in pleasing electronic beats, melodies or sound effects, which are in stark contrast to the disturbing appearances of the characters.

The horror vibe of Sprunki Corruptbox

Corruptbox changes not only appearances but some characters as well, like strange actions or strange effects in their performance. Some are missing, others come broken, and Mr. Fun Computer even shows cryptic messages like “don’t trust anyone.” In Sprunki Corruptbox, some characters also show sequences of symbols, as if they are trying to say something in particular. In one scene, Gray vanishes from the screen, leaving Wind looking visibly saddened.

These details make exploring each character a key part of the Sprunki Corruptbox experience, complementing the core gameplay of experimenting with various sound combinations.

If you enjoy playing Sprunki and experimenting with the different combinations of sounds but want something with a little more of a horror feel and some glitchy distorted graphics then Sprunki Corruptbox is perfect for you.
