Larry Birdle 2
Larry Birdle 2 is an NBA puzzle game where you have to correctly group 5 players into their respective teams. The game gives you 5 teams (logos) and 25 players, all mixed up. Your task is to swap players so that each row (or group) consists of 5 players who played on the same team during the same period.
You are not limited in the number of attempts, but the game counts the number of swaps you use. The goal is not just to solve the problem correctly but to solve it with the fewest swaps possible.
How to play Larry Birdle 2
Look at the 5 team logos. Observe the 25 players. Press swap to swap the positions of 2 players. When a group of 5 players matches a team, it will light up.
For example, seeing Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart immediately tells you it's the Detroit Pistons; seeing Gobert, Mitchell, and Clarkson tells you it's the Utah Jazz era.
But the problem is that a player can have played for multiple teams. Josh Hart could be a Laker, Pelican, or Blazer. Therefore, you need to consider more scenarios.
Tips and Tricks
Don't just think in one direction
Many people tend to group players vertically because they see the board as separate columns. However, the game doesn't require you to reason that way. Sometimes the answer lies in looking horizontally or examining the cross-relationships between groups. If you only maintain a fixed way of thinking, you're very likely to miss the true structure of the board.
Find anchor players
Some players on the board are only associated with a single team in the currently displayed list. They are the key to unlocking the entire group. Use these names as a reference point, then build your team around them.
Lock in the sure groups first
Start with the 3-4 players you're almost 100% sure about. Locking in the clear groups will reduce the remaining variables on the board.
Larry Birdle 2 isn't just a game about NBA knowledge. It's a test of your memory of the roster over the years, correctly identifying the team's stage. If you want to switch to word puzzle games, we have Spellie.
