Catdoku
Catdoku is a puzzle game that mixes hidden cats with logic, for a gameplay experience different from traditional Sudoku. On each board, the squares are arranged in groups of color and each color has exactly one cat. You are to work out exactly where all the cats are. To do this you look at rows, columns and neighboring squares. Catdoku is a relaxing break puzzle game, with simple mechanics that can become a test of careful deduction.
How to play Catdoku and locate the cats
One cat per color
The main rule of Catdoku is that there can only be one cat in each color group. If you know where a cat is, you can eliminate all of the other squares in that row or column, reducing the choices on the board.
Avoid placing cats next to each other
Spacing between cats is just as important as rows and columns. No two cats may be on adjacent squares. So, when you find a cat, mark the surrounding squares to not make a wrong move.
Use deduction instead of guessing
The early levels are easy to pick up, but the difficulty increases over time. Some puzzles require you to track multiple possibilities simultaneously and identify definite locations through elimination. Making a mistake can cost you a life, so verifying each step before selecting a square is essential.
Daily Challenges and reward streaks
Progress through a few levels and Catdoku will unlock the Daily Challenge, where you can solve a new puzzle each day. There is also a streak system to encourage players to return daily to keep their completion chain going. Also, the levels always present situations that require different ways of approaching the problem. Sometimes all you need is a few steps of elimination to find the answer, but other levels force you to reexamine all the positions you had previously established.
