Boardle
Boardle is a free daily chess puzzle game that combines Wordle style to challenge your reasoning and strategy skills. Players will have 5 guesses to find the best sequence of moves for both sides. This is the perfect choice for those who love chess and want to practice their tactical thinking every day.
How to play Boardle
- Every day, a new chess problem is given.
- You will enter the sequence of moves based on standard algebraic notation (SAN) into the boxes below the board, just like in Chessle games or other Wordle-style chess variants.
- After filling in all the boxes, press the Submit button. The boxes will change color to indicate the accuracy of the move:
- Correct color: the move is correct and in the right position.
- Incorrect color: the move is in the solution but in the wrong position.
- No color: the move is not in the solution.
Note: A move is only considered correct if the SAN notation is completely correct. For example, Qxa8# is different from Qxa8. If you are not familiar with SAN, please refer to the chess notation guides for more information.
Boardle Tips
- Start with the recognizable move: Capture or checkmate moves often appear in the solution.
- See the entire board: Evaluate both sides, not just your move.
- Memorize common moves: Some problems repeat classic tactics, such as checkmate and capture.
- Use all 5 guesses: Don't be too quick to dismiss other possibilities; try all possible sequences to find the correct solution.
Game Features
- Free daily chess games.
- Suitable for both beginners and chess masters.
- Train your tactical thinking, planning ability and move memory.
- Learn to read and use standard chess notation (SAN).
