Bordle
Bordle is a daily geography quiz game where you have to show off your knowledge of the borders of countries around the world. Each day, the game will choose a new mystery country, and your task is to guess all the countries that share a border with that country. Sounds simple, but it is challenging! With a similar gameplay style to Wordle, Bordle is a great choice for those who love maps, knowledge and logical thinking.
How to play Bordle
- Each day, a mystery country is chosen for all players around the world.
- Your goal is to correctly guess all the countries that share a land border with that country.
- Enter the name of the country from the list of suggestions. If it is a valid border, the area will appear in blue on the map.
- You have 5 guesses per day, so think carefully!
- The game only counts countries that are members of the United Nations and only includes land borders within the main territory (not including overseas territories, such as France).
- In Hard Mode, the main country name will be hidden until you guess correctly.
- The game ends when you guess all the borders correctly or run out of turns.
Tips for playing effectively
- Start by guessing large countries like Russia, China, and Brazil, as they have many neighbors.
- Think by geography, if you guess the continent, focus on the countries around it.
- Look at geography: countries with coastlines tend to have fewer borders.
- In Hard Mode, pay attention to the shape of the border that appears—it may reveal the location of the hidden country.
- Play every day to memorize more international borders, helping you gradually improve your guessing skills.
