WikiArena
WikiArena is a simple yet addictive quiz game where you have to predict information from Wikipedia. Instead of needing extensive knowledge, you just need to feel and make smart guesses.
How to play WikiArena
Each round, the game presents two random articles from Wikipedia, and you have to choose one of them based on the question:
- Which page is longer?
- Which page is more viewed?
You just need to click to answer. If you answer correctly, you continue; if you answer incorrectly more than 3 times, the game ends.
Tips to win
Based on the popularity of the topic
- When the question is “Which page is more viewed?”, prioritize choosing:
- You should prioritize articles about countries, celebrities, and pop culture, including movies, singers, and brands.
- For example, “Justin Bieber” is almost certainly more viewed than “The history of coffee in Ethiopia.”
- Conversely, articles that are too specialized, local, or of little interest to the general public tend to have lower page views.
Based on detail and information potential
- When the question is, “Which page is longer?”, consider:
- Topics with more timelines, more controversy, or a long history tend to have longer pages.
- For example, “World War II” is definitely longer than “Persian Cats.”
Look at the title
Sometimes just looking at the title is enough to judge the level of importance or the number of people interested. Articles that sound academic, scholarly, or rare are often short and have few views.
Avoid choosing something that sounds strange to you
If you haven’t heard of the article, chances are many others haven’t either—which can mean fewer page views.
