How to play Wallows Wordle
Basic rules
You enter any 5-letter word. After each guess, the color of the boxes will change:
- Gray: this letter does not exist in the word you are looking for
- Yellow: the letter exists but is in the wrong place
- Green: both the letter and its position are correct
It sounds familiar, but when combined with the half-hidden, half-revealed hints, guessing the word becomes a different story.
Use help when stuck
There is a Reveal hint button to reveal more clues if you get stuck. These hint phrases often relate to song lyrics or familiar themes from Wallows, so if you're not familiar with them, you'll sometimes have to rely more on intuition. Additionally, a fun detail is the small mushroom icon; tapping it gives you an extra life to continue guessing, extending your chances.
Customizable Experience
The game has a colorblind mode to change how the crossword puzzles are displayed, and a hard mode where you're forced to use all the hints. Turning it on feels stressful right away.
