Thwordle

Thwordle is a Thai version of Wordle—a daily word-guessing game designed not only for entertainment but also to celebrate the richness of the Thai language and culture. This game is loved by many Thais and Thai language learners because, in addition to challenging your thinking, it helps you connect with the everyday usage of words and local culture.

How to Play Thwordle

Thwordle is very similar to the traditional Wordle but uses Thai words. Enter a valid Thai word (usually 5–6 characters/units) into the blank space. You have 6 attempts to guess the correct word. After each attempt, the spaces will change colours to provide feedback. Based on that feedback, you continue to deduce and guess again until you find the correct word within the allowed number of attempts.

Thwordle handles Thai very intelligently: because Thai text has no spaces, many vowels, tones, and complex characters, the game uses its own algorithm to accurately separate characters and correctly evaluate each linguistic unit.

Thwordle gameplay tips

Identifying common sound combinations

Thai has very common consonant + vowel combinations (such as คร, ทร, พร, สร, etc.). Once you've identified a few characters, try to guess based on these sound combinations to narrow down the possibilities.

Using grammar and meaning

Thwordle isn't just about guessing words — because Thai words have meaning. Once you've narrowed down a few characters, think about words that fit the context and have a natural meaning. For example, words of the day could be food, colours, animals, words related to Thai culture… all things Thai speakers commonly use in communication.

Learn New Words Day by Day

Thwordle is more than just a game — it's a gentle tool for learning Thai. Each time you play, you'll encounter new words, reinforcing your spelling, pronunciation, and vocabulary knowledge.

Thwordle is a Thai version of Wordle, combining letter puzzle elements with Thai language and culture — fun and a daily vocabulary learning experience. If you want a more expanded version of the English Wordle, we have Wordle 2.
