Sudoku NYT

Sudoku NYT is a puzzle game with numbers and a grid. The goal of this game is to fill in the blank cells with numbers from 1 to 9 so that all the conditions for rows and columns are met.

How to play Sudoku NYT

  • The game presents a number grid with some numbers already filled in. Your task is to fill in the blank cells so that:
  • Each row and column must contain all the numbers from 1 to 9, without any repetition.
  • Large squares (3x3): You will see that the large grid is divided into 9 smaller regions (each region has 3x3 cells). Each of these regions must also contain all the numbers from 1 to 9 without repetition.

Tips and Tricks

Prioritize finding the easiest cells first

When starting, don't look at the entire board at once, as it's easy to get confused. Focus on rows, columns, or 3x3 squares that already have many numbers.

For example, if a row already has 8 numbers and is only missing one, you just need to check which number from 1 to 9 hasn't appeared yet and fill it in the blank cell. This is the quickest way to solve the puzzle.

Apply the elimination method

For each blank cell, look at the row containing that cell, the column containing that cell, and the 3x3 square containing that cell. Then write down (or think in your head) the numbers that have already appeared, and gradually eliminate them. The number that remains and does not violate the rules is the correct answer for that cell.
