Instead of familiar environments, characters are locked in endless golden corridors with flicking fluorescent lights and old paper walls, experiencing the usual solitude of the Backrooms.
In this iteration, the characters’ faces have been changed, and some dark, somber music has been added, giving a pleasant and slightly odd experience.
How to play Sprunki Looping the Rooms
As with other Sprunki games you drag and drop symbols on to the characters to play sounds and create your own music. Each character stands for a different rhythm, affect or melody.
In Looping the Rooms, numerous characters are rebuilt to fit the Backrooms theme. others appear nervous, others unhappy, some like they're in an infinite maze. Players can combine many personalities at once to create mixtures that are mysterious, melancholic and occasionally unsettling.
The sound of the game is a mix of soft drum beats and electronic piano melodies, together with distorted sounds, to create a feeling of being trapped in a place of continual repetition.
