Explore, Catch, and Train Pokémon
Visit PokéStops and Catch Wild Pokémon
PokéStops are essential places to visit during your adventure. Spin them to collect Poké Balls, berries, potions, revives, eggs, and other useful items. Once you have enough Poké Balls, you can start catching Pokémon that appear around you. Aim carefully and throw your Poké Ball, or try a curveball for a more skillful catch.
Each successful catch rewards you with experience points, Stardust, and Pokémon Candy. These resources help you level up, strengthen your Pokémon, and unlock evolutions. You can also use berries to make Pokémon easier to catch or earn extra Candy.
Build a Strong Pokémon Collection
Not every Pokémon is equally powerful. Check their CP, HP, and individual values (IVs) to understand their potential. Use Stardust and Candy to power up your favorites, evolve them, or unlock additional attacks. Keep an eye out for shiny Pokémon, too, as their alternative colors make them exciting additions to any collection.
Battle Other Trainers and Join Raids
Take Over Gyms and Challenge Raid Bosses
Choose between Team Instinct, Mystic, and Valor, then visit Gyms to battle opposing teams. Once you defeat the defending Pokémon, you can place one of your own there to help protect the Gym and earn PokéCoins when it returns. You can also feed berries to friendly Gym defenders for additional rewards.
Raids bring powerful Pokémon to Gyms for a limited time. Team up with other trainers, defeat the Raid Boss, and earn a chance to catch it. Higher-level Raids can feature especially challenging and legendary Pokémon.
Discover More Ways to Play
When you're ready for more competition, enter the GO Battle League and challenge other trainers in three-on-three battles. You can also battle Team GO Rocket, hatch eggs by walking, and use items such as Incense and Lure Modules to attract Pokémon.
