PokéBonk

PokéBonk is an action-survival Pokémon game where you are pummeled wave after wave with increasingly thick adversaries. You start with Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. The Pokémon all have diverse purposes, from healing to wrecking a fort! Your initial choice will affect your strength from the very start of the game. To be a PokéBonk master, you will explore Viridian Forest, acquire resources, develop techniques, and defeat some mighty Pokémon.

PokéBonk: A Guide to Pokémon Basics and Strategy Sharpening

Choose a character that fits your playstyle before you jump into the action. Bulbasaur is a good healer and is good at withstanding attacks with grass tactics, Charmander is a good offensive fighter, and Squirtle is a superior defensive fighter with armor and shields. They all have an evolution progression.

Gather Items & Skill Upgrades

In PokéBonk, defeating enemies earns you experience, currency, and resources to grow stronger. Poké Balls act as loot chests, offering a chance to obtain valuable upgrades. You can choose to focus on stats like damage output, attack speed, item pickup range, or recovery capabilities.

  • Life Steal: Restores health based on the damage dealt to enemies.
  • Toxic Orb: Grants a chance to inflict a poison status on enemies when attacking.
  • Extra Projectile: Increases the number of projectiles or attacks fired.
  • Attack Speed: Allows your character to strike more rapidly.
  • Pickup Range: Extends the distance from which you can collect items.

Skills that stack are the way to go. Do not be heavy on experience and currency early and do not cripple output since you will be slowing the level versus harder waves of enemies.

Explore the map and confront boss Pokémon

The Viridian Forest familiarizes you with the rhythm of the game's battle. Wild Pokémon will jump up out of the woodwork, plus you'll want to remember those elemental weaknesses to take advantage of so that you can take down your enemies, so be sure to keep your head up and keep looking about. Or Alpha Pokémon, which might be risky but rewarding to hunt, but nothing can guarantee your chances like the golden Meowth.

You will also find boss portals, challenges, and other areas of interest across the world of PokéBonk as well. You will have to balance between harvesting and the battle areas, since you may find that, well, you just can't possibly collect the ingredients to trash the boss in time.

Team creation and team expansion

Winning battles gives you more opportunities to capture new Pokémon and rotate members, making you stronger each run. There are also permanent enhancements to make future runs easier. With so many options, combo up a strategy, items, and status effects.

Or if you want fast-reflex gameplay with a rhythm, give Music Ball 3D: Bounce to the Beat and Hit a shot, with each challenge based on a distinct rhythm.
