House of Hazards

House of Hazards is a game where you think you're just doing chores around the house… until the house starts playing tricks on you. Everything looks normal: drinking coffee, brushing your teeth, watering the plants, collecting mail. But one moment of carelessness, and a trap will activate, knocking you down in a rather… absurd but funny way.

The feeling isn't about strategic thinking, but more like participating in a collective prank where everyone can be trolled at any time. And the more you play, the more that chaos makes you want to keep playing.

How to play House of Hazards

You control your character moving around the house to complete small tasks like drinking coffee, washing your face, collecting mail, or watering the plants. It sounds simple, but every step carries the risk of being ambushed.

The other players aren't standing still. They can trigger traps: from toasters popping open and water hoses spraying in your face to robotic vacuum cleaners charging at you like sworn enemies. Each time you get hit, you lose time, sometimes having to start the task over again.

The game is turn-based, so besides doing housework, you also have to time your attacks to sabotage others. It's like doing your chores while glancing around to see who's about to walk past a trap you can activate.

House of Hazards Tips

Understand the map before trying to play well

It's easy to get confused the first time you play because you don't know where the traps are or how to activate them. Don't try to win right away. Just run around a few times to memorize the locations of the dangerous things. Then you'll begin to observe the environment in a more systematic way.

Don't rush; take it slow and steady

Many sections may appear easy to pass, but in reality, a quick step can lead to failure. Sometimes, pausing for a moment, waiting for the trap to activate, and then continuing is safer.

Observing others is just as important as controlling your character

If you observe someone preparing to dash through a trap area, there's a high likelihood they'll become a target. You can take advantage of that opening to advance. Conversely, if you're in the lead, be prepared because all eyes are on you.

Remember that you're also a troublemaker

Not only can you dodge traps, but you can also create them. And sometimes, just one well-timed trigger is enough to pull your opponents back. That feeling… is pretty satisfying.

House of Hazards doesn't try to be a perfect game. It's messy and sometimes frustrating, but it knows how to keep players engaged with its unexpected situations. You'll finish a game feeling both amused and frustrated, then find yourself wanting to play again without realizing it. Next game: Sprunki Clicker.
