Gootsle
Gootsle is a meme-style puzzle game, directly inspired by Wordle but designed for entertainment and teasing rather than intellectual challenge. From the tutorial, the game looks exactly like a serious word-guessing game, leading players to easily jump in with familiar expectations.
How to play Gootsle
The game retains the basic rules of Wordle. Players have 6 guesses, each entering a valid 5-letter word. After each guess, the boxes change colour to indicate the level of accuracy: the letter is in the correct position, it is correct but in the wrong position, or it does not appear in the word. Everything is very familiar and shows no signs of anything unusual in the early rounds.
Gootsle's Answer
The special feature, and also the biggest twist of the game, lies in the answer. Instead of changing daily or being randomly selected, Gootsle's answer is always GOOTS. This feature turns the entire experience into a joke, where players gradually realise that no matter how they guess, they aren't actually any closer to winning without knowing this beforehand.
