FUMBLL
FUMBLL is a Wordle-inspired football guessing game designed for NFL fans who enjoy testing their knowledge of professional players. Each day, FUMBLL selects a mystery player, and your goal is to identify them within a maximum of 6 guesses.
The challenge comes from the detailed clues revealed after every guess. Instead of relying only on a player's name, you can compare their team, position, conference, jersey number, age, experience, and Fantasy Points to gradually narrow down the answer.
How to Play FUMBLL
Guess the Mystery Player
Start by entering the name of an NFL player in the search box and selecting GUESS. After each attempt, FUMBLL compares your chosen player with the mystery answer and provides clues to help you get closer.
The results are divided into three categories:
Correct: The attribute matches the mystery player exactly.
Close: The attribute falls within the game's defined range for a partial match.
Miss: The attribute does not match.
For Team and Position, only an exact match counts as Correct. For Division, two players are considered Close when their teams belong to the same conference. Numerical attributes have their own ranges: jersey numbers can be within 5, age and experience can be within 2, while Fantasy Points can be within 25 points.
Follow the Arrow Clues
The numerical columns in FUMBLL also display ↑ or ↓ arrows. These indicators tell you whether the mystery player's value is higher or lower than the number in your current guess.
Using these directional clues, you can eliminate possibilities and make more informed guesses instead of relying on random selections.
Test Your Skills in Hard Mode
FUMBLL also features Hard Mode for players looking for an extra challenge. When activated, all Close indicators are hidden, forcing you to rely more heavily on the available information and numerical clues. The arrows on number-based columns remain visible.
Once Hard Mode is enabled, it cannot be turned off for that puzzle. If you use Hard Mode from the beginning of the game, your shared result receives the All-Pro label. Activating it after the game has already started results in the Pro Bowl label.
A New Puzzle Every Day
A new FUMBLL puzzle arrives at 8:00 AM UTC every day, with every player around the world solving the same mystery player. Fantasy Points use the 2026 Half-PPR scoring format and are updated every Tuesday.
