DeWordle
DeWordle isn't just a typical word-guessing game like Wordle; it's a decoding tool that modifies the Wordle system. Instead of guessing the secret word, DeWordle's goal is to build or deduce color patterns to narrow down the possible words based on your guesses about the color of each square in Wordle.
How to play DeWordle
- You choose the color pattern you think Wordle might return (blue/yellow/gray).
- Each pattern you enter filters the list of words that might match that pattern.
- The goal is to reduce the number of remaining words as quickly as possible until only one remains.
- DeWordle also has a free-play mode where you can try different patterns to see how many patterns are needed to get only one word left as a logic challenge.
Features
- Unlike Wordle: instead of guessing words, you guess patterns, and DeWordle tells you which word sets match.
- Unlimited attempts: You can enter enough patterns until the filter leaves only one word (or countless valid patterns).
- This tool can be used to analyze other people's Wordle if you have their color-coded diagrams—the filter will identify all words that match that diagram.
DeWordle is a version of Wordle that reverses the reasoning process by going from color patterns to possible words, rather than from words to color patterns. It's suitable for those who prefer clean reasoning, filtering facts, and logic rather than simply guessing words based on color feedback. If you want to move on to a more difficult Wordle challenge, we have Unicode, which is a standard for encoding text that allows for the representation of characters from multiple languages and symbols.
