Devimot
Devimot is a French word-guessing game like Wordle in which players have to use their vocabulary and reasoning skills to figure out the concealed solution. The game's distinctive letter system, which has a French accent, makes players think carefully about each choice.
How to play Devimot
- You have six chances to guess the five-letter secret word.
- Every guess has to be a real French word.
- Press Enter to send.
After each attempt, the color of the crossword square changes:
- Green: Correct letter + correct position
- Yellow: Correct letter but incorrect position
- Gray: Letter not in the word
Important note: An accented letter is considered a completely different word. Example: e ≠ é ≠ è ≠ ê. This is a significant difference from many other word-guessing games.
Tips for effective play
- In the first attempt, use words containing common French vowels (A, E, I, O, U, Y).
- If you see accent marks (é, è…), prioritize trying variations of the same accent mark.
- Once you have the correct letter, keep it in the same position in subsequent turns to reduce the chance of making a mistake.
