Cowordle

Cowordle is a variation of Wordle, but instead of playing alone, you can play with others or compete in a 1v1 match. And once you choose the match mode, it's no longer a chill word-guessing game – it's a real race.

How to play Cowordle

The rules remain the same as Wordle: guess a 5-letter English word. After each guess, the system will indicate which letters are in the correct position and which are correct but in the wrong position. You have a limited number of guesses to find the answer.

But the difference is that your opponent is also guessing at the same time, and whoever finds the correct word first wins.

So besides thinking of the word quickly, you also have to endure the pressure of seeing your opponent already a few steps ahead.

Experience in a 1v1 match

The match mode makes Cowordle feel like a real race. Sometimes, as soon as the screen loads, your opponent has already guessed 3 words. It's a feeling of both confusion and frustration.

Players can try these strategies:

  • Start with words that have many vowels, using common words like stair, cloud, spine, bread…
  • Guess quickly to put pressure on your opponent.
  • Try to deduce logically based on the revealed words.

But the problem is that sometimes the brain can't keep up with the hands. Sometimes you guess randomly because time runs out, sometimes you enter a non-existent word, and sometimes you look at the board and your mind is completely blank.

Occasionally you will encounter strange words like 'curio' (meaning a rare or interesting object) and realise you lost not because of poor logic… but because your vocabulary isn't broad enough.

Cowordle is a great choice for those who like Wordle but want to increase the challenge a bit. Playing alone is already brain-racking, but competing against others is even more stressful. If you like word games, enjoy the brain-teasing feeling of 60 seconds, and want to test your skills against other players, Cowordle is definitely worth a try. If you want to switch to an endless running experience afterward, then try playing Temple Run.
