Boludle

Boludle is a variation of Wordle, but in the Argentinian language. Each day, you must guess a secret word, which is often related to Argentinian culture, slang (lunfardo), place names, or other distinctly Argentinian topics. If you're not familiar with it, it feels like deciphering a code in a room where everyone speaks the local dialect.

How to play Boludle

You have 6 guesses

The game gives you 6 attempts to find the keyword each day. There's no unlimited guessing; each guess is a heart-pounding experience.

Color system

After each guess, the game responds with a color:

  • Green: correct word in the correct position
  • Yellow: correct word but in the wrong place
  • Gray: word doesn't exist in the word you're looking for

This mechanism is similar to Wordle, but the feeling of guessing wrong in Boludle is more intense, because sometimes you're unsure if your mistake is due to logic or a lack of understanding of Argentinian culture.

Keywords with an Argentinian flavor

This uniqueness is what makes Boludle different. The word to guess could be:

  • Local slang
  • Famous people's names (e.g., Lionel Messi)
  • Place names
  • Or very internal things that outsiders can only… guess at.

Tips for Boludle

There's no guaranteed winning strategy, but at least you can avoid getting lost.

  • Start with words that have many vowels: Spanish relies heavily on vowels for rhythm, so identifying vowels early will help you unlock things faster.
  • Don't try to guess in an international way: This isn't a global word. Think in an Argentinian way, even if it sounds a little… strange.
  • Accept that you won't know the word: Sometimes you guess wrong not because you're bad, but because you're not Argentinian. This game does not hold that against you.
  • Observe the letter patterns: For example, once you have a few consonants right, think about how the word might sound in Spanish.

Boludle is more than just a word guessing game. It's like a small gateway to Argentinian culture, where you learn while you play… or you play while you're confused. Occasionally you'll wonder, "Am I playing a game or taking a geography and culture test?" And sometimes you'll guess a word correctly that you didn't even understand. That feeling is quite funny… but also quite satisfying.

If you find Boludle still challenging, you can try something simpler but equally mind-bending: One Line Game.
